Quilting
Meets first Monday of each month | 10:00am-1:00pm | Fireside Room
You’re invited to join us for quilting, regardless of your level of experience! Quilts are donated to those who stay with us during the Phoenix Housing Program twice a year, to the Homestart Program of Tacoma, and to Lutheran World Relief. Bring a sack lunch.
Retreats, conventions, etc:
We are part of the SW Washington Synodical Organization and the Narrows Cluster, which sponsor workshops, retreats and conventions. There are always opportunities for inspiration, education and sociability for all women.
Worship & Music Team (WAM):
Meets 2nd Tuesday | 6:30pm | Zoom
WAM is about who we are as a worshiping musical family. We work together to oversee all aspects of our worship services including the Altar Guild, liturgy, worship music, musical groups, choirs, concerts, special services, and more!
Social Outreach Ministry Team:
Meets 2nd Sunday | 11:45 am | Fireside Room
An extension of the FLC Council, we work to celebrate the great commission in our church and in our community!
Altar Guild:
Responsible for preparing the chancel and its furnishings for worship, our overall goal is to see that our worship space is kept beautiful to glorify God and provide a setting in which the congregation can worship in a meaningful way. Altar Guild members serve for a month at a time and prepare for worship.
HOMEstart is a ministry of First Lutheran Church. We serve families in transition by providing them with household items to set up their homes free of charge. For more information, please contact church office at 253-272-1538.
