Planning for August 1 worship

Friends in Christ,
Many of you know that First Lutheran Church (FLC) is planning to begin an in-person worship service on Saturday, August 1, at 5:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. As we move towards this event, the congregation will need to follow Washington State and Tacoma/Pierce County Health requirements for re-opening churches. Included in these requirements is a restriction on the number of worshipers. Presently, FLC is allowed to have 50 worshipers, not including the worship staff.
Because there is a limit to the number of worshipers, the Ad Hoc Committee tasked to re-open First Lutheran, is asking those who would like to attend worship on Saturday, August 1 to sign-up ahead of the service. Along with this, the office will be calling those who are unable to “Zoom” the Sunday worship service. Other ways of joining the worship service will be discussed.
If you would like to join the in-person worship service, please email the office at office@flctacoma.org or call the office at 253.272.1538. The first 50 people registered will be welcomed to worship with others at First Lutheran.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Steve
