General Congregational Day Camp Information
Mission Statement: “Lutherwood, in partnership with Western Washington Lutheran Congregations, is a year-round outdoor ministry renewing all in the Holy Spirit through adventure, service and prayer.”
Vision Statement: “Lutherwood will provide a time and place apart within God’s creation for all to experience the love of Christ.”
Vision Statement for Day Camp: “Lutherwood serves individual congregations through a quality Christian camp experience in local communities with the purpose of providing an avenue for churches to share the love of Christ and build relationships within the congregation and its community.”
Day Camp is a five-day Camp program held within your local church/community. The program includes worship, Bible study, fellowship, crafts, team building, and of course lots of fun. Day Camp is staffed by Camp Lutherwood staff in cooperation with a local coordinator, and volunteers from your own church/community. Day Camp is designed to bring Camp Lutherwood to you. This program is also a great outreach opportunity for your church. We encourage you to invite children outside your congregation as a way to introduce them to the love of God.
Camp Lutherwood’s Day Camp program is a unique blend of outdoor ministry and congregational ministry. The camp staff is ultimately there to serve you; they bring enthusiasm, camp curriculum, activities, and leadership. Local church volunteers bring similar gifts and their knowledge of the campers’ needs and community resources.
